Highly recommended Jul 05, 2010 Received a Chef's Choice cordless electric kettle as a gift from a dear friend 7 years ago. We used it faithfully everyday until the clip securing the top became corroded and fell off. I searched the web for a replacement. Found it through Amazon. The order was processed efficiently and we are utilizing the kettle again on a daily basis.
don't buy this kettle May 03, 2010 This one ( Chef's Choice M677SSG ) has very bad connection with the base, some time it's works, some time not, look for kettles made in Germany , not in China
good purchase Apr 26, 2010 no complains, good working and nice looking. It is not my first kettle,so I have experience. The most often happened damage was leaking. This one so far is perfect, fast and quiet and elegant.
Limited Lifespan Apr 03, 2010 Having used this kettle everyday for 3 years, I was extremely happy until it just stopped working one day. I shelved a stove top kettle that I had used for 30 years to make way for this modern thing. It worked great while it worked. But to have it give up like that was extremely dissappointing

Good looking pot but not well made Mar 25, 2010 The unit does what it's supposed to do - boil water - and with it's high wattage rating, it does it quickly. However, after almost a year of using it, the bottom of the handle has become loose. It can still boil water but I have a feeling that it will just break apart one of these days. It is also difficult to clean the inside. The opening is too narrow to scrub the inside. My unit regularly gets scales since I use tap water and not filtered water. As one other reviewer has noted, the inside of the pot is not entirely stainless steel. There is quite a lot of plastic inside.
