Did you know . . .

A cup of tea contains less than half the caffeine of a cup of coffee?

Earl Grey Tea

Earl Grey tea is a flavored tea that features the distinctive taste and aroma of bergamot, a citrus fruit.  Traditionally Earl Grey tea was made only with black tea but today tea lovers can enjoy the bright citrusy flavor of Earl Grey in a variety of teas and herbal blends.

Accounts tell us that Earl Grey is named after the second Earl Grey who was Prime Minister of Great Britain in the early 19th century.  Many stories tell how Earl Grey savd the son of a Chinese official.  As thanks the Earl as presented with the now famous tea.  There are many reasons to doubt the authenticity of this story - including the claim of a prominent British tea company.  What isn't doubted is the popularity of this famous tea.
